Arrowleaf Consulting is hiring a Grant Development Specialist! We are a cause-driven small company that provides capacity-building, technical, and research support services to a variety of clients including nonprofits, school districts, conservation districts, agencies, community-based organizations, private businesses, and more. In the grant writing space, we help our clients find and secure grants from foundation, government (primarily USDA and state agency programs), and corporate funders. We also develop annual and multi-year funding campaigns.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Grant Development Specialist works with a team to develop, write, and submit funding applications on behalf of or in collaboration with our clients. Strong writing skills that ensure clarity, organization, accuracy, style, and quality consistent with funder requirements are a must. Depending on the project, the Grant Development Specialist will be the lead or in a support role, sometimes working directly with clients to brainstorm, develop, and finalize proposals.
Specific duties will include

Assisting with developing competitive proposals in response to and consistent with funding solicitations.

Assisting with developing budgets, budget justifications, subaward documents, biosketches, certifications, letters of collaboration, management plans, and other supporting documents necessary for proposal submission.

Critically reviewing and editing proposal documents, including substantive editing, proofreading, and incorporating comments from clients and Arrowleaf Consulting team members.

Assisting with or completing the grant submission process in web application portals such as Grants.gov and private foundations.

Performing funding searches and researching available and upcoming funding opportunities.

Implementing project management and funding calendar activities to track and meet deadlines.

Communicating with and integrating the contributions of other team members into proposals, such as graphic design and evaluation components.

Supporting other Arrowleaf Consulting services as needed.
All team members at Arrowleaf Consulting work remotely (from Idaho, Washington, Oregon, or Montana), and the Grant Development Specialist must provide their own workspace. Arrowleaf Consulting will provide a computer and all software and supplies needed for the job.
COMPENSATION
This is a full-time position. Monthly pay is based on hours worked rather than salaried. The work schedule is flexible within the confines of meeting agreed-to deadlines.
Starting wage: $30-$35 per hour depending on experience.
